Delete Your Dinner Dough Account
Beta version, last updated 18 October 2026Maxme Digital Media Limited
Delete your account in the app
You can delete your Dinner Dough account yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
- Open Dinner Dough on your phone and sign in.
- Open the Household tab and tap Your data.
- Under Delete, tap Delete my account.
- Tap the button again to confirm. It now says Tap again to confirm: Delete my account.
Your account is deleted straight away. The app signs you out and clears its copy of your information from that phone.
Before you start
- Cancel any subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel a Plus or Family subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, or tap "Manage subscription" under "Plan and AI requests" in the app.
- Take a copy if you want one. In "Your data", under "Take a copy", you can save your stock and purchases as spreadsheets, or everything as a backup file.
- If you own a household that others are in, the app will ask you to hand over ownership to someone else first. Go to "People in this household", tap "Hand over ownership" next to the person who should take over, and tap again to confirm. Then delete your account. You could instead remove the others, or delete the household.
What is deleted
- your account, your email address and your name
- your place in every household you belong to
- every household you own on your own, with everything in it: stock, purchases, spending, week plans, children's age bands, invites, saved meal ideas, AI request records and usage counts
- the app's copy of your information on the phone you used
If you used Dinner Dough on another phone, uninstall the app there to remove its copy.
What is kept, and why
- Your entries in shared households. Items, stock changes, purchases, spending and planned meals you added to a household that other people are in stay with that household, so its stock, budget and reports stay right. Your name is removed from them and they no longer link to you.
- AI request records in shared households stay with the household, without your account.
- Subscription records. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep records of purchases under their own rules and for tax and legal reasons. RevenueCat holds a random account ID, not your email address. Email us if you would like us to ask RevenueCat to delete its record of you.
- Crash reports hold no account details and are deleted automatically within 90 days.
- Backups of our database are kept for a limited number of days, then deleted. If we ever restore one, we delete your account again.
- Emails you sent us, for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of your request.
The privacy policy has more on how long we keep information.
Delete a household instead
If you are the owner, you can delete a household without deleting your account. In "Your data", under "Delete", type the household's name, tap Delete this household, then tap again to confirm. This deletes the household and everything in it, for everyone in it, and it cannot be undone.
To delete only some information, change or remove entries in the app, or leave a household from "People in this household". You can also ask us by email.
If you cannot use the app
Email support@maxmegroup.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Dinner Dough account". If you cannot use that address, tell us why, and we will find another way to check it is you.
Tell us if you own a household that other people are in. We will contact you about handing it over before we delete anything.
We aim to delete your account within 30 days and will email you when it is done. What is deleted and what is kept is the same as above.
