Dinner Dough Terms of Use

Beta version, last updated 18 October 2026Maxme Digital Media Limited

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Maxme Digital Media Limited ("we", "us"), Yoomo Dede Ahento Street, Accra, Ghana, for using the Dinner Dough app. By making an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Our privacy policy explains how we use your information. Please read it too.

The service

Dinner Dough helps a household plan meals from what is at home, keep a shopping list within a grocery budget, track stock and spending, and see a monthly report. It also offers AI meal ideas and week plans within a monthly allowance. It is for personal, household use.

The beta

Dinner Dough is in beta. That means:

  • features, plans and allowances may change, and some may be removed
  • the app may have faults, and it may sometimes be unavailable
  • information could be lost, so take your own copy from "Your data" from time to time
  • we may end the beta or the app, and where we can, we will give you reasonable notice so you can take a copy first

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the app without owing you anything for them.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or over to make an account.
  • An account is for one person. Use an email address that is yours and that you can reach, because that is where your sign-in codes go.
  • Keep your phone and your email secure. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
  • You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.

Households and roles

Everything in Dinner Dough belongs to a household. You can create a household, or join one with an invite code from its owner. Each household has one owner, and everyone else is a member or a viewer.

  • Owner: changes settings and the budget, invites and manages people, adds children's age bands, chooses the plan and can delete the household.
  • Member: adds, uses and buys things, logs spending, and plans and cooks meals.
  • Viewer: sees everything and changes nothing.

Everyone in a household can see its records, including who made each entry, so only invite people you trust. Invite codes expire, and the owner can cancel them.

A member or viewer can leave a household at any time, and the owner can remove them. An owner who wants to leave, or to delete their account, must first hand the household over to someone else in it, or delete the household. When someone leaves or deletes their account, what they added stays with the household.

Plans and subscriptions

Dinner Dough has a Free plan and two paid plans, Plus and Family. What each plan includes, such as the number of people and AI requests a month, is shown in the app under "Plan and AI requests". During the beta these may change.

  • Billed by the store. Paid plans are bought in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and that store takes the payment. The price, in your currency, is shown before you confirm.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and the store charges you again, until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the current period ends. Apple asks for at least 24 hours before.
  • Cancelling. Cancel in your store account. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. You can also tap "Manage subscription" under "Plan and AI requests" in the app. Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Deleting is not cancelling. Deleting the app, your account or a household does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store as well.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. Ask them through your store account. We cannot give refunds directly.
  • Which households. A plan you buy covers the households you own. If you move to a smaller plan, everyone stays in the household, but nobody new can join until there is room.
  • Free trials, if we offer them, are shown in the store with their terms before you start.

AI suggestions and allergies

  • Each household has a monthly allowance of AI requests, set by its plan. A week plan uses more of it than a set of meal ideas. The allowance starts again on the first day of each month in the household's time zone, and unused requests do not carry over.
  • Owners and members can ask for meal ideas. Viewers can see them.
  • Suggestions come from a computer model and can be wrong. They are not medical, nutrition or allergy advice, and they never confirm that a meal is safe for an allergy, even when allergens are set.
  • Always check labels and ingredients yourself. You decide what you cook and eat. If someone in your household has a serious allergy or a medical diet, follow the advice of a doctor or dietitian.

Your content

What you add to Dinner Dough stays yours. You give us permission to store it, sync it to the phones in your household and use it as the privacy policy describes, including sending parts of it to our AI provider for meal ideas, only to run the app for you. This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies kept as the privacy policy explains.

You are responsible for what you add. Please do not add other people's personal details unless you need to.

Acceptable use

Please use Dinner Dough fairly. Do not:

  • break the law, or use the app to harm, harass or deceive anyone
  • try to see or change another household's information, or get around roles, plans or AI allowances
  • attack, overload or probe the app or our servers, or use automated tools to send requests
  • copy, sell or rent the app, or take it apart to get its source code, except where the law allows
  • try to make the AI produce harmful content, for example by putting instructions in food notes

If you break these terms, or put other people or the service at risk, we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and explain why.

Our app

We own Dinner Dough and its software, design and content. We give you a personal right, which you cannot pass on, to use the app for your household while you follow these terms. "Dinner Dough" is a working name and may change.

If you got the app from Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, support or maintenance, or for any claims about it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for the app, if any. Apple has no other warranty duty for it. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. Apple's standard licence terms for apps also apply.

Our responsibility to you

We work to keep Dinner Dough useful and reliable, but during the beta we provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available, free of faults or right for your needs.

We are not responsible for:

  • loss or damage that was not foreseeable when you started using the app
  • business losses, because the app is for household use
  • events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of a provider's network

Where the law allows a limit, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid for Dinner Dough in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars, or the same amount in your local currency.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use Dinner Dough as a consumer, you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you.

Ending

You can stop using Dinner Dough and delete your account at any time. These terms end when your account is deleted. Parts that should naturally continue, such as the limits on responsibility, still apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana can hear any dispute about them. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the laws there that cannot be set aside by agreement, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the app changes, and we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
